Hive Aero expands into AVN52

Hive Aero is pleased to announce its expansion into underwriting Excess Third-Party Aviation War Liabilities (AVN52), with immediate effect.

Hive Aero’s AVN52 line for 2019 is $47.5m, backed by the major Lloyd’s insurers Beazley and Arch.

Hive Aero began underwriting Aviation Hull War in April 2018 and following a successful first year, increased its capacity to $52.5m in 2019. Expanding its offering to incorporate War Liabilities further enhances Hive Aero’s commitment to the aviation market and client base.

Bruce Carman, Chief Underwriting Officer commented:

“This is a fantastic step in the right direction and comes at a time when many underwriters have reduced their participations or have withdrawn from aviation classes completely. There are a number of opportunities out there, especially with accounts such as the AVN52, which to-date, has not experienced any losses.”

He added:

“Hive Aero offers a first-class service to brokers and their clients and will continue to extend the value proposition we offer our partner carriers.”
